I was very dissatisfied with this hotel and its owner. The owner told me multiple times that I would receive a $50 gift card for every 2 nights I stayed. I ended up staying 4 nights only to find out from choice hotels that you receive a $50 for every 2 stays, NOT every 2 nights. He got me to stay an extra 2 nights because he promised I would receive another gift card. The breakfast was horrible, closed right at 9am, and the Wifi did not work at all! I told the hotel staff multiple times and they did nothing. They would not even change the towels when they made the beds after every night. The sink in our room wouldn't even drain the water out of it and they did not fix it! The rooms were dirty and the service was horrible. The owner is VERY CHEAP so if you want quality and not to get ripped off do not stay here! Also all the owners employees kept quitting while we were there because the owner pays them nothing.
Very sweet hotel, off the freeway I-196 by 12 miles. They serve breakfast with the waffle's. If you travel, some hotel's have the pancake machine & some have the waffle machine. Eggs, some type of meat, all sorts of breads like bagels, muffins, small pastries ect. plus cereals, yogurt, apples, banana, oranges. juices, coffee, and more. The rooms are cute with a oval shower. The bed is like a 6 or 7 out if 10. I travel for a living and the bed for me is the most important thing a hotel can do for me. Enjoy your travels!
The worst experience. My granddaughter was with us, she likes to have a glass of warm chocolate milk before bed. Asked to upgrade the room for one with a microwave. Had to pay for four nights at original booked price plus three nights at full room price. Hotel far from full. I would have thought paying for the difference would have been fair. Only hotel in Allendale and hadn't seen my son in two years so I paid the outrageous price, NEVER AGAIN.
The hotel is great. Beds are super comfy and staff is nice. My only negative is the breakfast. We were told breakfast is open until 10. We stayed 3 days and only made it to breakfast once. The first day we got down there at around 9:30 and we're able to eat. The next two days we got down there between 9-9:15 and they were closing it all up. Apparently they do not keep breakfast up until 10 but 9. It seems way too early to close breakfast down. They even start to take most of it away by 8:30. Pretty disappointed. I would probably stay somewhere else for a vacation if you budgeted to eat breakfast at the hotel.
The location is great, right next to taco Bell! And a local pub. And I experienced great service for the time I stayed. Would recommend, sleep inn
