The university wasted so much money if they're not going to maintain it. It's a library, not a trailer park you can neglect.
Computers are always jacked up.
Loud ghetto people everywhere with no enforced quiet zones.
The Mary Idema Pew Library on GVSU's Allendale Campus is the reason why I chose to go to Grand Valley. It's a beautiful space with a quiet space, collaboration space, and designated silent areas. It's definitely not your typical library and the idea behind how the space was used came from the idea of a shopping mall! The staff is friendly and there is this amazing automatic storage retrieval system in the back. Beautiful!
Restrooms are ALWAYS a mess (bins overflowing and water everywhere)
The university is cheap or the staff is lazy.
Printers NEVER work (ALWAYS out of service)
This place is the SH-- State of the art everything, more books than you can possibly ever read, hopefully you snag a spot to study at.
I was downtown for 4 years and yet I still liked coming out here to study and see the views from the rooftop garden. Try Argo, it's outstanding!
A place to study, use a computer, get a quick bite at Argo, and look at all the books (most are hidden in the automated retrieval system operated by cool robot). There is art on display, great view from the roof, and Tech Showcase to put your geek on.
