I was a patient of Dr. Jacobs for the past few months and she miss diagnosed me three times had me spend hundreds of dollars on medication that was for the wrong diagnosis, then the medication that she prescribed to me was the wrong dosage. The number of times per day that I was supposed to be taking the medication was also incorrect. My symptoms never got better and she still just kept telling me to take the same medication which was incorrect. Then when I transfered to Advantage Health in Grand Rapids they asked for my medical records so when I went back to Metro they told me they can't fax them because they out source that part to a different company which could take up to 1 month to fax them. That is the most ridiculous thing I have ever heard. The all around service at Metro Health in Allendale is very poor and I recommend NEVER going there. Same your time and money and go somewhere else where you will actually be treated for your problems.
Dr. Boyd is a phenomenal physician. Beth is an outstanding PA and the staff is incredible.
To the previous reviewer, there is a reason I am sure why Beth didn't write you a prescription for narcotics. You honestly sound like a drug seeker that only wants to get high.
Not happy with this place at all. Doctor Boyd is barely a year out of med school and the general policy of the office is to not prescribe drugs. I have suffered six months with sinus issues because he didn't want to prescribe me antibiotics to clear up an infection. The wife needed a refill for pain meds for a severe condition that the doc already saw her for, and she had to wait until the doc was back from vacation because the PA wouldn't prescribe a NARCOTIC. The receptionist told me they work on "pain management", whatever that means. We looked it up on Wikipedia (as the office manager refused to call us back with an explanation) and in MEDIUM level pain management it includes tylenol and hydrocodone. So what "pain management" are they prescribing here? Grin and bear it? Don't go near this place.
was 13 minutes late because of traffic during a drive all the way from wyoming and Dr Boyde would not see me even though he knew I was out of meds I needed. I would never recommend him to anyone unless you want everything to be difficult. The only reason I gave them 2 stars is because the staff other than the doc are awsome and super nice.
I have been under Dr. Carolyn Bealls care for almost a year and I can tell you she is top notch in finding the medical answers to any issues I have had. She takes her times explaining care and will go the extra mile to make sure my needs are met. She has personally called me several times to check on my health status. Where can you get care so personal anymore? Her PA Beth is super sweet and knowledgeable. I really like this office with the in office labs and physical therapy!!
