Thank you so much for our pleasant stay, we were in town visiting my parents after driving 13 hours from Massachusetts and your campground was such a wonderful way for us to keep just enough distance between us and them, lol. Highly recommend this campground if you're staying in the area.
The staff us fantastic! Scott does a great job explaining things during the check in process. He was very positive and happy to help campers. Rob is a "big kid" that goes out of his way to ensure that kids camping have a great time. He is truly all about family.
We will not be returning to this campground. The staff was rude (the lady at the pool was very rude to our kids and had something to say to everyone that came through the gate) she basically tried to talk them out of swimming because they came 45 minutes before the pool closed. We brought water balloons for the water balloon launcher. Before we could get 1 filled up, staff was running out to tell us we had to buy THEIR water balloons and couldn't use our own. (Didn't see this anywhere on their website or by the water balloon launcher) they then came back to reprimand the kids for throwing a few instead of using the launcher. They require everyone wear wristbands. We were there because our kids had a softball tournament in Holland and they had to take their wristbands off during their games. The person at the counter gave them a hard time for coming back to get another bracelet and said they were "wasting them all" on our kids. The only good thing about this campground was the size of the sites. We had a nice large site with plenty of room.
The grounds are nice. With lots of kids activities. A great place to camp with family.
Awesome campground to stay at. Everyone was very accommodating and friendly. A lot of activities for all ages. We loved the jump pad and paintball shooting range! The pool was nice and was the perfect temperature. The cabin was clean and comfortable. The only issue we had was the screen door on the cabin was hard to close and when it was closed it was hard to open. The bathrooms could use some updating but other than that it was a great place to stay and we will definitely be back:)
We have been on a trip through Michigan for the last week. We typically stay in state parks, but for this trip, most all of the state parks were booked. So, we decided that we would give KOA a try. This is the third KOA that we have stayed at for this trip, and before arriving, we were pretty sure that we would scratch KOA off the list as potential stops. To our surprise, this has been a great place to stay. It is a work in progress, but it has really been a great place. Our sites are really large, surrounded by mature pines...really pretty sites. The lots are so big that they are extremely easy to park in. The fire pits are set off at the back of the space, in the woods. At the first KOA, we had a fire pit so close to the camper that we were concerned that the neighbor's were going to catch us on fire....not here. Additionally, my 14 year old daughter was jumping with joy over all the fun stuff to do at the camp site. They have a bounce floor thing about the size of a football field, paint ball shooting gallery, NICE swimming pool, petting zoo, water balloon war zone, etc. Never in my life time has there been so many things to do at a campground. We talked with the owner for quite awhile yesterday, and you can tell that he is all about fun and family, and you can see it in his camp ground. If you get a chance to stay, you won't be disappointed.
It's sad to see people write negative reviews about great places. Reviews about how their kids were being obnoxious and they got offended when staff members of a camp told them to stop misbehaving. I'm in no way affiliated with KOA or this particular campground, however I just finished have an amazing stay. Hot, HOT showers, wood delivery, friendly staff members, a beautiful tent site surrounded by trees and wildlife (on our last night, a large owl flew down next to our picnic table and scared the s*** out of us), and lots of fun amenities that campgrounds rarely offer, especially for children.
